You turn back to the oil rig. Rain lashes the helicopter and the wiper blade shave trouble keeping the windscreen clear of water. Strong winds throw the plane from side to side. You are a talented pilot, however, and your navigation skills get you to the oil rig. For the second time that day, you land the helicopter in very difficult conditions.
To your surprise, there is another helicopter on the landing
pad on the opposite side of the rig. It is much larger than yours, an open
cargo ramp exposing a dark interior.
“Stay in here while I go look for the professor!” you shout
at Emily over the noise of the storm. You duck out of the helicopter into the
cold, driving rain and head towards one of the hatches, stumbling in the
gusting wind. You make your way to the professor’s labs, deep in the hull,
which is creaking and groaning as the storm batters the rig.
You descend the last set of stairs, leading to the main lab
at the end of the corridor. Through the open hatch you hear a stranger speaking
in a heavy accent. You cannot make out the words, but it is clear that the professor
is in a heated argument with another man.
If you:
Interrupt the
conversation, go to chapter 3
Wait for the
argument to complete and then go in, go to chapter 42
